I have a court date tomorrow for a protection order can someone give me some relaxation techniques?
Take deep breaths inhale while counting to 4 hold for 4 and exhale while counting to 4 one more time. Do this about 3-4 times in a row. No one will notice this at all if you do it silently while not talking. Imagine a safe and calming spot in your mind, and just picture that place and feel the temperature, smell the smells, enjoy the spot that you are seeing in your mind -- again, this can be done when you have times that you are not having to speak or give full attention to what's happening. There are many moments in court where there are just procedural things going on and you are waiting. Those are good times to focus on relaxation.
Every time I see my soon to be ex and his pregnant girlfriend I start shaking and have anxiety attacks in fear and anger over the things this man has put me through. I want to remain as calm and collected as I can infront of the judge during the hearing and afterward. Does anyone know some relaxation tips to aid me? I do not want to take any meds before court. I drink chamomile religiously and try to stay away from meds
