COSMETOLOGY; FACIAL WITH SCRUB FOR STATE BOARD
step-by-step procedure for beauty school students to pass the state board test and get license for cosmetology or esthetician. Procedure: Wash hands with soap and water, set up SMA (sanitary maintenance area), drape the chair and the client, wash your hands before touching the client, cleanse the face, apply eye pads, scrub the face, REMOVE THE SCRUB WITH WARM MOIST TOWEL, wash hands if you need to, apply massage cream and massage using the movements: effleurage, petrissage, tapotement, vibration, and friction. Remove the massage cream with tissue mittens, tighten the pores with astringent. Undrape the client and clean up. Before the state board exam begins, make sure you fill out the client skin type on the client record card. Make sure to tell you client that this is a test, not a beauty pageant; no talking is allowed, and you can only perform the procedures stated on your state board appointment book. NOTE: If you state has different procedure, please follow that one, or if your teacher insists on a specific procedure; please follow the procedure taught at school. This video is just one method to do the facial that follows the state board criteria and rules and regulations.
