take a blood test,if its negative,check it again after 3 months.then only the virus can b detected,if its negative,u r HIV negative
My bf got sick after we first met with sore throat and fever, we had sex 6 times prior, 5 with condom. That was 3 years ago, have not had sex with anyone else since 2006. After reading up on acute hiv syndrome, I started OCD on HIV aids and started HAVING or imagining symptoms. please give me a proper opinion on what I post below BESIDES TELLING ME TO GO TO THE DOCTOR. I will, and am, I just got back form full physical and while that does not detect, I did have a perfect CBC and PAP and now makes me feel 'okay' since anemia is the most common problem in the disease. But still, please just make me feel better. Please. These are symptoms of latter HIV and how I think it attributes/doesn't to me.

Symptomatic HIV

•long-lasting swollen lymph nodes- (I do not have swollen nodes in neck pits or down there. I had a moveable lump in breast and had a ultrasound that was determined twice to be a normal sized lymph node encompassed in fat. )

• night sweats- Had 3 night sweats a few weeks ago along with insomnia and rapid heartbeat after all this worrying. Also get warm while sleeping and rarely, but sometimes get a slight bit of sweat between breasts

•long-lasting diarrhea (I have not had 'diarreah' in the sence that I had liquid stools. However, have had problems ONLY after this anxiety with looser stools or more frequent stools along with lower bowel bubbling or minor stomach aches. Usually after eating or when I wake up. Long term relaxation or not worrying seems to regulate me again)

•persistent fever (don't know what this means, at my physical I was 98 degrees, my pits sweat occasionally, I get warm when I sleep sometimes.. thats it)

•severe weight loss (I lost weigh a few months ago, about 6 lbs (112lb-106 lb) and attributed it to me only eating one meal a day and only 700 cal. After this worrying, fasted, weighed 103. started eating again and drinking nutrition shakes and now have gained 5-6 lbs after a month.. along with loose stools sometimes)

•fungal diseases - (have no clue, not that I am aware of, dont have foot fungus or nail fungus or skin fungus.)

•suboheic dermatitis (define this.. 5% of the pop have this but 50% of the pop have dandruff. looking up the symptoms, sub. derm is defined usually as red (inflamed), itchy, oily, scaling, lesions.. and usually occurs around eyebrows,ears, and beard. Mine does not itch at all, and is not red, or have scaling or lesions..but my hair and scalp have always been oily. )

•dry cough- (since this stress, no lie, I have had a tickle in my throat that makes me want to cough.. its like a itch but mucousy. it is mild, very, and is usually worse at night. it comes and goes. Currently gone.)

•breathlessness - no

•chronic fatigue (I get fatigued from time to time but nothing unusual. I am usually very active and avid.)

•persistent headaches ( I HAD frequent tension like headaches in the summer that have magically dissapeared completely and havent had one in like 2 months)

molluscum contagiosum (I dont know, I mean, looking it up on google it looks different.. but it could be.. I have had a recurring bump thing on BOTH my wrists ONLY since the summer dont know why, dont know what it is, I just hope it aint that)

thrush/vaginitis (I never had vaginitis, occasional itch of outer labia but thats so mild. I don't have thrush but keep looking at my tongue questioning why some part looks white or lighter.. and did the spit test and failed..but most people fail.)
