What is my sleep loss caused by, and how can I help it?

Stress is really a killer and money problems makes stress worse.
I have both for years my meds don't work as good as they used to and my life has been hell from a injury for 20 plus years.
I too can only afford the aprox 20 channels.

Okay. So I'm 18, I'm attending a community college less then 15 miles from home 4 days a week, my fiancee and I live 20 miles apart and only see him on the weekends, I'm living on a couch in my mother and grandmother's house, I've been having massive mood swings lately, and I'm not sure why, and I've been having sleep loss lately.
Let me give you a run through of my normal school day:
I wake up about 9 o'clock on the days I have school, and I'm dead tired. Not just shuffling around the house, but almost falling asleep during a lecture, and just DRIVING to school. My fiancee gets home around 2:30 from school and I talk to him about him day, and vice versa. My latest class gets out at 8:50. Once I get home, I get something to eat, and watch TV or work on the computer. Then, usually, by 11:00, I'm dead tired again. I'll lay down, and talk to my fiancee on the phone, but once we finally hang up, which is usually between 11:30 and Midnight, I can't sleep what so ever. Like right now. I layed down and hung up the phone about 11:30, and it's now 2:27 in the morning.
I've tried sleeping pills, but due to my depression(which I've thought is actually PMDD), I've been advised against them. I've tried listening to music, but no good. Tried eating less around bed time, still no good. I've also tried a nice hot shower/bath, back massage(while at my fiancee's), nice warm rice bag on my back, heating pads, going to bed earlier. Nothing.
Someone please help me. I'm not sure what to do, and it's effecting my school work and love life. The only time I get to see my fiancee is on the weekends, and when he's sleeping, I'm laying in bed awake, and vice versa. I'm also failing a class and can't afford to retake it.
Also, so you have any idea how boring it is at 2:30 in the morning. I only have 20 channels, and youtube only keeps my attention for so long. lol
