can I find black massage stones in the Colorado's nature?
Take a look at landscaping places and aquarium shops.
Both will sell them for MUCH less that you find at spots like massage warehouse, TH stone, and the like....
I got mine through a combination of both....
The smaller ones at the aquarium shops, and the larger ones at the landscapers....(y'know, where they sell the rocks that people line driveways with, that sell woodchips, that sort of place)
However, if for some reason you are determined to get some while out hiking ( I got a bunch of mine off the shores of Lake Huron) then you might have some luck. try googling your state, the name of your county, and basalt or geology.
These folks might be able to help you out - there is a 1-800 number.

I've been trying to find the black basalt stones while hiking in colorado. They are really slick and black and are usually heated and used for the hot stone massage.
Does anyone know, where in Colorado I could go to find these? They're sooooo expensive in retail!
